    Data transmission

    Data transmission is the process of transmitting data between data sources and data repositories through one or more links in accordance with appropriate procedures. The operation of sending data from one place to another also by means of signals on a channel.    

    The remote meter reading system adopts the two-stage transmission mode:

    The first level of transmission is a fixed transmission mode between the meter and the concentrator, which supports the M-BUS interface and follows the DL /T645 or CJT188 protocols. The second level network is the data transmission between the concentrator and the centralized data center. According to the actual situation of the user, in order to make full use of existing resources and ensure the stability and security of data transmission, the Ethernet or GPRS access network is flexibly adopted.

    System features

    The bus structure specially used for public utility meters, called Meter-Bus, referred to as M-Bus, works by using modulation and demodulation technology for data transmission on DC low-voltage power lines. The M-BUS special module is embedded in the instrument and concentrator, and the data transmission is carried out by using the specially designed two core wires. It has the following technical characteristics:

    * High-speed and stable communication rate, reliable communication over long distances

    * Options of string, star, cross and other arbitrary wiring mode

    * Use ordinary parallel, non-polar two-wire wiring

    * Isolated communication equipment, constant current loop communication mode, strong anti-interference

    * Automatic device login, accommodate a variety of devices, reserve a variety of communication protocols, easy to expand.

    * Power supply to the meter through the bus, very low static power consumption

    System description

    Hangzhou Jingda remote meter reading system is an automatic reading management system independently developed by the company, integrating intelligent meter, computer, network communication technology in one, with real-time/timing fixed point meter information collection, storage, inquiry, statistics and meter control and other functions.     The system adopts three-level architecture, two-level transmission mode, data from smart meter to concentrator through M-BUS bus transmission, concentrator to data server through Ethernet/GPRS transmission. The intelligent management function can be realized by accessing server data through INTERNET, PSTN, GPRS/CDMA, Ethernet, etc.

    Remote meter reading software adopts C/S architecture. The software has two management positions: toll collector and administrator, which is convenient for the file management of users in the area, real-time meter reading and fee collection. Meter reading control section set meter reading time, instant meter reading, remote control instrument switch and other functions; The energy consumption statistics section automatically generates hourly consumption, daily consumption, daily loss and comprehensive consumption charts, which is convenient for the management of energy consumption of all users in the jurisdiction, and provides scientific decision-making basis for management departments.
